Summary:

Responsible for the management of income tax for the North American region (US and Canada). 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Manage U.S. and Canadian federal income tax compliance and reporting. This includes, but is not limited to:
• Coordinating preparation of annual consolidated tax returns.
• Manage outsourced and internal teams.
• Assist with implementation of in-house compliance system.
• Manage tracking U.S. and Canadian tax attributes.
• Determination of estimated payment requirements.
• Reconciliation of federal tax liability accounts.
• Preparation and assistance with quarterly and annual tax provisions.
• Preparation and monitoring of U.S. FIN 48 issues.
• Exploring tax planning opportunities to minimize tax exposure.
• Manage tax audits.
• Manage tax authority correspondence.
• Identify and manage incentive opportunities.
• Review and manage state and local income tax returns.
• Assist with tax analysis of M&A activity.
• Assist with other special projects as requested by the Head of Tax.

Skills/Knowledge

• Broad knowledge of US and/or International Tax.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
• CPA preferred.

Experience

• 10 years of combined corporate tax experience in both industry and Big 4 public accounting preferred.
