Overview

Do you enjoy working and meeting a wide range of people? Then check this out! A Tournament Cashier sells and redeems chips, cashes personal checks, player bank withdrawals, markers and Cash Advance checks. Inputs transactions into computer by performing the duties outlined below.

Responsibilities

Sells and redeems chips for players and floor personnel as specified by policy/procedure guidelines.

Prepares paperwork and pay out monies on different casino drawings and promotions as specified by policy/procedure.

Prepares jackpot monies for winners and pays out Jackpot monies to Lead Floor for winners as specified by policies and procedures.

Issues tournament banks, handles player's buy-in into different tournaments. Prepares Tournament reconciliation forms for the Accounting Department and pay out prize pool monies.

Receives and verifies tournament monies for deposit and prepares tournament players bank deposits. Post tournament players bank deposits and withdrawals on ledgers and into computer.

Handles players' reward paid out and post players' bank withdrawals into computer and on the player's bank ledgers.

Processes credit card cash advances using the Quick Cash system.

Receives and posts credit and marker/hold check payment from players.

Must be available to work any shift including weekends and holidays as needed.

Other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
• A minimum of 3 years of high volume, large dollar value cash handling experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Banking or casino cage experience preferred.
• Open availability to work Day, Swing or Graveyard. 
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays. 
• MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge or license.
• Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
• Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test, criminal background and credit check.
