These Security Professionals would have the opportunity to become PPSB-licensed security Agents and join our amazing Security Team. Our security agents are the heart of Fortis. Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Security Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a background in security or law enforcement, loss prevention, or surveillance.

Responsibilities:

• Arrive punctually and operate with dependability.
• Perform responsibilities knowledgeably with authority and care
• Observe and Report in a timely manner
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing.
• Greet guests/employees in a professional, welcoming manner.
• Promote client and site sense of safety and security.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
• Observe alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
• Investigate disturbances and detect signs of crime or disorder.
• Perform patrols randomly and frequently of building and perimeter.
• Monitor and manage access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
• Be a noticeable, strong security presence
• Tactfully de-escalate and maintain a strong sense of awareness
• Actively seek and complete professional development

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to frequently prepare written reports.
• Must have a working mobile device that can support Fortis’s work force management system app and allows for location services.
• Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions.
• Must be able to obtain a valid North Carolina Security Guard license.
• As a condition of employment, employees must successfully complete a criminal record check and provide finger prints
• Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards.
• Ability to communicate with clients, patrons, and EMS responders efficiently and thoroughly as it relates to job performance and safety.
• Valid Driver’s License and dependable transportation

Preferred:

• Valid active North Carolina Security Guard license
• CPR/First Aid
• De-escalation Training (CPI, Hanna Institute, etc.)
• Police report writing training
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word
