The Tori Contracting team has construction experience acquired by performing highly successful work for hotels and casinos, restaurants, retail stores, healthcare facilities and a wide range of commercial and themed projects. We provide design assist capabilities from start to finish…from schematic design and development through construction documents with the aid of our full-time AUTOCAD staff.
Join our team:
Tori Contracting is looking for our next Estimator. Our Estimatorwill aid the senior members of the Estimation team, assisting with the preparation of budgets and bids for all projects, helping prepare responses to project solicitations, and providing continuous preconstruction support on awarded projects in the development phase.
This position is based in Las Vegas, NV.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage the bid proposal process to determine scope of work for various projects.
- Provide expertise to any bid-related presentations and proposals.
- Calculate scope of work takeoffs to prepare estimates and bid proposals.
- Review design options and provide solutions based on cost, engineering, and materials.
- Prepare detailed estimates including complete takeoff of scope.
- Determine labor, equipment & material requirements (general conditions).
- Solicit pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Manage subcontractor solicitation and selection process.
- Participate in pre-job meeting with project team.
- Support all areas of the business related to estimates and job-costing.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of contract documents, including blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- Strong familiarity with construction and industry practices, processes, and standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Procore and/or other estimating software experience a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
- Must be detail-oriented, technically sound and have good communication skills.
- Experience working in the Nevada, California, Arizona and Utah market.
- Operational and/or experience in the construction industry required
