Clayton Youth Enrichment is currently recruiting for an After School Site Coordinator.
Clayton Youth Enrichment is Tarrant County's largest, on-site, youth enrichment provider. The non-profit agency serves 7,000 children and families annually through its after-school and other out-of-school time enrichment programs.
Clayton is a before and after-school youth enrichment program. We serve over 80 locations in the Fort Worth, Crowley, Keller, and Birdville ISD. If you love working with children then we have the job for you....
SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the overall efficient operation of a center, including management of the planned program and supervision of staff. Establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with children, parents, school facility, and other Clayton staff.
  • Implement and ensure the program meets all agency, regulatory and contract requirements at both state, local, and authority/grant levels.
  • Develop and Plan program activities that are appropriate to the interest and needs of the children and address specific components as required by funding sources or other regulations.
  • Obtain and Schedule special guests and/or events to enhance the program curriculum.
  • Coordinate the program with the school site and ensure a positive working relationship.
  • Collaborate with other schools and external community resources to enhance the program.
  • Work to continually improve the program based on evaluations, feedback from supervisors, Site Observations, and visits from the contracting authority/regulatory entity.
  • Develop, post, and implement (if applicable) a Strategic Action Plan, Incentive Plan, Safety Plan, Field Trip Plan, and Community Service Project in adherence to respective program requirements.
  • Adhere to all school requirements regarding the use of building facilities.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with parents.
  • Familiarize the parents of newly enrolled children with the center's expectations and routines.
  • Participate in parent conferences, PTA/PTO, and other school functions as needed. (e.g. Family Math/Literacy Night)
  • Provide and submit (paper or online database system) accurate and timely delivery and other relevant information/paperwork (e.g. reports, prime assessments, attendance records for all classes, activities, and parent/family events, etc.).
  • Purchase supplies and manage a budget. This may include but is not limited to; maintaining accurate spending records, creating and submitting purchase orders, invoices, and financial reports, managing contracted services and monitoring time cards and work hours).
  • Communicate all significant incidents to parents and the Program Coordinator. Document and appropriately respond to incidents of suspected child abuse and neglect, illness or incident.
  • Actively promote the success of the program through marketing efforts organized by the Corporate Office. Recruit eligible students in adherence to the respective program requirements; maintain minimum enrollments, and participation goals (If applicable).
  • Participate in school community service, parent organizations, and other school functions. May also Plan and Execute Family Events in collaboration with the Parent Engagement Specialist.
  • Provide leadership and be a positive role model for other staff
  • Coordinate food program.
  • Create and maintain relationships with collaborations, networks, and supports specific to current programs and the agency including but not limited to the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
  • Monitor enrollment and staffing plan to ensure fiscally sound programming. If applicable, maintain minimum days of programming in adherence to contract/grant or other requirements.
  • Ensure, Direct, and Orient program staff, contractors, and volunteers to ensure compliance with Texas Minimum Standards, Texas Education Agency, and adherence to Clayton YES! Policy and Procedure.
  • Direct and orient program staff, contractors, and volunteers to ensure service quality and support for program goals.
  • Attend regular meetings with the Project Director, Director of Programs, Program Coordinators, Principals, Academic Liaisons, and program staff.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Must be proficient with the use of workplace technology (i.e. computers and smartphones) with the ability to complete basic tasks including but not limited to; electronic lesson planning, sending and managing emails, navigating databases, keeping files and folders organized, using the Internet, and other basic functions
  • Ability to perform all job requirements satisfactorily and meet the Education/Experience, Personal Skills/Characteristics, Reasoning Ability, Physical Conditions, Work Environment, and Environmental Conditions listed below

  • Current Liability Insurance for personal vehicle
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or CDA preferred
  • Must meet DFPS qualifications and other requirements required by regulatory agencies (if applicable)

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS:
  • Requires daily standing, sitting, bending, and stooping (sitting will be limited to about 5% of your day)
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
  • Requires the ability to lift 40 pounds
