Job Overview

Fort Worden Hospitality is seeking professional and enthusiastic On-Call Banquet Servers to join our team. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality service for various events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, and social functions. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

This position is a sub-part time, regular position with 20-40 hours of work expected per week during high season (May 1 - Sept 30), and 0-20 hours per week in the off season. Perfect for folks with school year commitments looking to make extra money in the summer or those who just prefer more flexibility in the winter for art or travel. Folks only available for seasonal work also welcome to apply!

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during banquet events.
• Set up event spaces as required, including table settings, buffet lines, and beverage stations.
• Serve food and drinks to guests, adhering to specific event requirements and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a clean and organized service area during events.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored.
• Collaborate with the banquet team to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor, adapting to operational needs.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure.
• Flexibility to work on an on-call basis, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and to lift and carry heavy items when necessary.
• Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service and maintaining Fort Worden Hospitality's standards.
