Job Overview

Fort Worden Hospitality is seeking a skilled On-Call Banquet Bartender to deliver exceptional drink service at various events throughout the year. This role is perfect for individuals who excel in social settings and have a passion for hospitality and mixology. The On-Call Banquet Bartender will ensure guest satisfaction by preparing and serving beverages in a professional and timely manner.

This position is a sub-part time, regular position with 0-30 hours of work expected per week during high season (May 1 - Sept 30), and 0-10 hours per week in the off season. Perfect for folks with regular or school year jobs looking to make extra money in the summer or those who just prefer more flexibility in the winter for art or travel. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality bar service for banquet events, including weddings, conferences, and special gatherings.
• Set up and break down bar areas as required, ensuring a clean and inviting presentation.
• Prepare and serve a variety of drinks and cocktails in accordance with our standards and guests’ requests.
• Ensure compliance with all alcohol service regulations and safety standards.
• Engage with guests, providing a friendly and professional service experience.
• Collaborate with the banquet and catering team to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain inventory control and proper handling of bar equipment and supplies.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and with courtesy.

• Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor, adapting to operational needs.

Qualifications:

• Previous bartending experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked in banquet or event settings.
• Knowledge of bar operations, cocktail recipes, and beverage service standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work on an on-call basis, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Current certification in alcohol service (e.g., MAST, ServSafe) is preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
