Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated School Nurse to join our educational institution's healthcare team. The School Nurse will be responsible for promoting student health and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment within the school setting.

Duties:

- Provide direct healthcare services to students and staff members
- Conduct health screenings and assessments
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Develop individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to support student well-being
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation

Skills:

- Experience in emergency room (ER) or acute care settings
- Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnostic evaluation
- Proficiency in using electronic health records systems like Epic
- Familiarity with dementia care and acute pain management
- Background in mammography or home care services
- Understanding of durable medical equipment (DME) usage
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities is a plus
