MECHANICAL DESIGNER

The Mechanical CAD Designer will create designs and technical drawings for chemical dispense systems and blending equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with all disciplines on project teams to meet schedules and project deliverables.
  • Participation in design and safety reviews, status updates and process documentation as needed.
  • Modify and create mechanical drawings from concepts and "red-lined" documents. Implement standard mechanical design and documentation.
  • Work in conjunction with the engineering team to ensure implementation of customer specifications.
  • Specify and source mechanical components for the equipment. Implement component selection standards.
  • Create / review mechanical Bills of Materials as required for accuracy and appropriate component selection.
  • Initiate, update and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Create and maintain high level mechanical area layouts.
  • Create / review mechanical manufacturing quality and testing procedures.
  • Support final test teams as necessary to ensure equipment is fully tested before shipment.
  • Assist with design reviews and project related work as required.
  • Perform flow modeling of systems.
  • Assist with training manufacturing personnel.
    Requirements:
  • Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering related field and 5 years work experience in equipment manufacturing, OR Bachelor's degree in appropriate disciplines of Engineering required (Mechanical preferred)
  • Experience reading, editing and creating P&ID's, schematics, and other product documentation.
  • Experienced in the areas of manufacturing and assembly as it pertains to assigned products and projects.
  • Proficient in using CAD including: AutoCAD, Agile, SolidWorks and other engineering design systems. Knowledgeable of a broad range of tools that may be applicable to the discipline enabling decisions on implementation and improvement in existing systems.
  • Professional Solidworks certification level preferred.
