The Fort Orange Club in downtown Albany is one of upstate New York's premier private clubs with a long-standing reputation for outstanding service to our members and their guests. Servers and Bartenders are expected to provide the highest level of hospitality and service to members and their guests.

EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide platinum service while maintaining a clean and safe environment for members, guests, and staff
• Complete opening and closing side work
• Report to work on time and in proper uniform
• Provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating
• Greet members at table and answer menu questions
• Promote daily specials and take food and beverage orders
• Place orders with kitchen; inform cooks of any special instructions
• Operate the point-of-sales system
• Deliver food and beverages and ensure member satisfaction
• Pre-bus all tables throughout dinner service
• Inform manager of any complaints as soon as they occur
• Provide wine, beer and food pairings
• Attend staff meetings as required

Education/ Experience

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.

Two years of professional experience in a fine dining restaurant

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.50 - $21.00 per hour
