Electrical Technician

Journeyman or Residential Wireman

Job Requirements:

  • Create a positive customer experience by completing the service correctly the first time with quality and care to applicable codes, to avoid refunds and recalls.
  • Perform a thorough and accurate electrical inspection including Health and Safety Checklist and communicate findings to the customer in electronic form.
  • Provide electrical service and/or repair to customer units as needed.
  • Coordinate with utility service providers (NES, MTEMC, CEMC, etc.) and local code officials to ensure proper guidelines are established.
  • Complete all required documentation on services and collect, record, and deliver fees to designated office administration.
  • Facilitate order for all parts required for appointments and ensure preparedness for the day of service.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure appropriate job objectives are met effectively and completely.
  • Communicate the benefits of Ultimate Savings Agreement Memberships.
  • Manage operational metrics including average invoice total, callback ratios and labor margins.
  • Troubleshoot minor issues and build estimates to get system back to factory specifications.
  • Identify opportunities to sell upgraded panels and home generators.
  • Present findings and options to customers; provide advice and recommendations.
  • Complete approved improvements or installations within industry standard times, following proper safety procedures
  • Clean equipment and work area to ensure complete customer satisfaction upon completion of work
  • Keep assigned vehicle organized, clean, and stocked properly
  • On-call service may be required

Salary: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour depending on experience

Incentive Pay- Up to $2500/Monthly Based on Sales Performance

Physical Requirements:

  • Work in outdoor elements at times with extreme variation in temperatures and weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow) at least 50% of the time.
  • Climb ladders and steep stairs.
  • The majority of time is spent standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, and reaching.
  • Often works in tight spaces such as attics and/or crawlspaces.
  • Must be able to lift 50-80 pounds with ability to push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices).
  • Occasionally work from heights 15 feet or higher above ground.
  • Carry a 24-foot extension ladder alone and / or a 40-foot extension ladder with a fellow co-worker on most jobs.
  • Have good visual acuity.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold a journeyman or residential wireman status.
  • Basic computer/tablet skills are required as our field representatives are dispatched by tablet
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License with no major recent infractions
