Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Technician to join our team. As a Nuclear Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting with diagnostic evaluations and providing support in nuclear medicine procedures. If you have a strong background in medical imaging and possess the necessary qualifications, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures under the supervision of a licensed physician
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including PET scan and X-ray machines
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their safety and comfort
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain accurate patient histories and provide necessary information for diagnostic evaluation
- Utilize sonography techniques to assist with imaging procedures
- Practice aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during invasive procedures
- Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedure logs, and radiation exposure levels
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to minimize radiation exposure risks
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and equipment operation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting
