JOB SUMMARY:

Supervises and assigns tasks to parks operators. Ensures safety guidelines and proper equipment operation are followed. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and assigns daily and weekly tasks for employees.
  • Supervises maintenance of park’s lakes, plans, equipment, and facilities on a daily basis.
  • Services and orders parts for park equipment.
  • Performs carpentry work such as repairing cabinets, fixing and installing sinks and minor electrical work.
  • Assists with department budget, recommends equipment expenditures.
  • Recommends new hire, employee transfers/promotions, disciplinary action and salary increase.
  • Prepares reports and documents regarding park operations.
  • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5 year job related experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions; general working knowledge of and ability to operate required equipment. Good verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with others. Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.

SALARY RANGE: $19.71-$24.63 range per hour/based on experience and qualifications

CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
