Summary

The Director of Retail Operations will be responsible for team management, store operations, continuous improvement, and strategic growth.

Key Activities

• Provide guidance, accountability, and coaching to our retail team.
• Ensure staffing needs are met through effective hiring, training, development, retention, and termination processes.
• Foster positive workplace culture.
• Oversee cleanliness, timely opening, and exceptional service delivery.
• Communicate employee schedules promptly.
• Maintain adequate inventory levels.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise.
• Familiarize yourself with equipment, processes, and product offerings.
• Ensure proper functioning of equipment.
• Establish and maintain vendor relationships.
• Attend weekly store meetings and collaborate with the retail team.
• Drive year-over-year sales growth while maintaining a competitive cost of goods sold percentage.
• Act as a point of contact for our Ice-cream Wholesale Company, and other business partners.

Preferred Skills

• Obtain ServSafe Certification (if not already) within 2 months of hire.
• Proficiency in computer and app-based programs (Excel, Outlook, various supplier and equipment monitoring apps).

Educations & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Demonstrated sales initiative.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in food retail management
