Job Summary:
Installs and maintains piping systems, faucets, sinks, drains, commodes, and valves. Determines necessity for replacing parts. Inspects equipment and fixtures periodically to detect and repair leaks and other faults. Reads and understands construction plans and specifications. Can complete parts lists based on construction plans, oversee the installation of new and replacement plumbing systems based on plans, and assures installations meet applicable building codes. Performs related duties as required. Must have willingness to work for the best interest of the hospital and with due consideration for patients. Must be able to work under emergency conditions and difficult situations. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs

Qualifications:
Education/Skills
High school Diploma or GED required.
Work Experience:
At least 5 years of experience with plumbing required. Plumber's license or evidence of code requirements through experience required.
Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE
Mental Demands:
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions, ability to read and understand
blueprints, cooperate with others, demonstrate initiative.
