Summary of Position:

Executes daily purchasing for all vendors, to include wholesale vendors.

All tasks related to this area will be accomplished in accordance with company business practices and in the professional manner required to maintain a solid business relationship with our valued customers and coworkers.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. 1. Become proficient in all aspects of supplies purchasing
   2. Execute daily purchasing functions for assigned vendors to include
      1. Inventory Management/Replenishment
      2. Resolving billing discrepancies, shipment issues
      3. Managing/maintaining open purchase orders
      4. Expediting orders, including drop ships.
      5. Maintaining Item Database
   3. Maintain Vendor Relations and developing new sources
   4. Identify Cost reduction opportunities
   5. Identify Process improvements
   6. Manage and Process Monthly Bid Cost Claims with suppliers
   7. Understand market trends
   8. Ensure compliance with strategic procurement objectives
   9. Conduct competitive bid negotiations and analysis

Qualifications

1 -3 years Buying experience

Strong Excel skills, proficiency in processing and reporting data.

Must have independent problem-solving skills and perseverance to find solutions

Attention to detail and accuracy

Highly organized

Structured work ethic and trusted ability to work independently

Good communication skills
