Facilities Maintenance

A Facilities and Maintenance Technician helps complete a variety of manufacturing and production support tasks. Job assignments will frequently change based on the demand for production. Tasks may include working in shipping and receiving, delivering parts while driving company vehicles, performing machinery cleaning and maintenance, assembling parts, operating, dumping chip barrels, processing coolant, moving tooling carts, and performing general shop cleanup.

Facilities Maintenance Duties include:

· General electrical skills such as replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, ballast, fixtures and light bulbs.

• General plumbing skills such as repair or replacement of Faucets, Toilets, Urinals, Flush valves, caulking and other similar duties.
• Patching minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings
• Painting structures and equipment.
• General maintenance and repairs of equipment and machinery.
• Performing duties of the company’s preventative maintenance program
• Reporting major repair needs to the Plant Manager.
• Assist in other areas of the company as needed.
• General exterior maintenance.

· Able to assist or independently perform machinery maintenance and cleaning according to maintenance checklists and instructions.

· Able to perform general shop cleanup, sweeping, mopping, and running the automated floor sweeper.

· Other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The Facilities Maintenance Person needs practical skill and knowledge in such trades as:
Carpentry, Plumbing, Mechanical work, Electrical, Painting and Janitorial.

• At least 2 years of related general repair experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 140 pounds with assistance.
• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, kneel, reach, crawl, push, pull and twist part of the day.
• Must display very good organization and time management skills.

Compensation

· We offer a competitive salary of $22.00 - $24.00 per hour. Benefits include Excellent comprehensive health and dental benefits for you and your dependents.
