Formosa Plastics Corporation, Texas, located in Point Comfort, Texas (jobsite), is looking for a full-time Assistant Director with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and 2 years related work experience. Job duties include developing and implementing new technologies, processes, and raw materials for the development of formulations that confer special characteristics to emulsion and suspension polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resins, developing new evaluation procedures for PVC resins, determining the optimal reaction parameters on suspension and emulsion reactors, determining the optimizing emulsion production rates and emulsion seed particle size distribution to improve the quality of PVC resins, developing new emulsion manufacturing process for suspension/emulsion PVC, and using statistical tools to identify the variables that affect the quality characteristics and performance of the polymerization reactions of suspension and emulsion.
