Formers International is Hiring a Quality Control Inspector (FT) Near Pasadena, TX
- Conduct In-Process Inspections throughout multiple phases of the production process.
- Inspect, Measure, and Test fabricated products/materials against engineered drawings and customer requirements.
- Measure products with Calipers, Micrometers, Gauges, and other measuring devices.
- Accept or reject fabricated products for release and shipment directly to customers.
- Operate electronic software to document inspections.
- Report issues, defects, and problems.
- Ensure all products and services meet internal requirements and customer requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Follow and enforce company safety policies.
- Monitor the proper use of measuring equipment throughout the facility.
- Monitor the calibration requirements of measuring equipment and call for repairs or recalibration.
- Monitor internal processes and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
- Education - High School Diploma or Two-year degree is a plus.
- Experience - 1 to 3 years working in a shop environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings.
- Ability to use and read measuring instruments, including but not limited to measuring tape, digital and dial Calipers, Micrometers, Gauges, etc.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Initiative: Action Oriented / Sense of Urgency.
- Knowledge of basic math and computer skills.
- Understanding of quality standards.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
