Job Overview:
Mule/prototypes technicians are tasked daily with assembling metal (aluminum) parts, casts, extrusions and sheet metal panels to configure the body structure. Additionally they will have to need to apply adhesive and sealers and join the sub-structures with SPRs (self-piercing rivets; handheld and mounted) and FDS (flow drill screws; manual), move fixtures, clamp items, and do metal reworking occasionally (Dremel, drilling, sanding, etc).
Job Requirements:

• Rework trim lines, add holes (Using equipment provided) and adjust flanges for clearance
• Cosmetic rework of outer surface panels to agreed standard
• Metal finishing or reworking experience preferred.
• Experience in the automotive industry in a BIW (Body in White) environment
• Experience in body shop surface rework and reworking structural parts to a hammer block
• Welding / Brazing experience is a plus

Environmental Requirements:

• Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise.
• Some duties performed outside in all weather conditions.
• This is a physically demanding position.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty pounds and twenty pounds.
• Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet.
• Regularly stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during shifts of 8 hours.
