Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality orthodontic care to our patients. Duties: - Assist the orthodontist during patient assessments and procedures - Maintain aseptic technique and infection control protocols - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments - Take and record vital signs of patients - Assist with medical coding and documentation using Dentrix software - Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care instructions - Perform CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tasks as needed - Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient records Skills: To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills: - Strong knowledge of orthodontic procedures and techniques - Proficiency in medical terminology related to orthodontics - Experience with dental receptionist duties, including appointment scheduling and record management - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills - Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, including medical insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional development.
