You will be responsible for driving cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency throughout the program lifecycle. As a core member of the Engineering Leadership Team, you also participate in setting the strategic direction for the Engineering function to ensure the full team is at the forefront of readiness for this rapidly growing organization.

What you'll do:

  • Play a key role in defining and executing the strategic vision for the product development program. Work closely with senior management to set objectives, develop plans, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) related to program management.

  • Develop and implement the program management playbook including product development processes, tools, and best practices to ensure efficient and effective program execution, resource allocation, and risk management.

  • Oversee a change management process inclusive of manufacturing, engineering, R&D and Quality to efficiently and accurately capitalize on opportunities where product development processes can be enhanced.

  • Lead the Program Management community of practice across Form Energy to inspire, train and align all program management resources to standard operating principles and tools.

  • Provide strategic guidance and support to engineering teams, helping to prioritize initiatives, allocate resources, and resolve conflicting priorities as needed. Partner with senior leadership to develop and communicate a clear vision and roadmap for the engineering program portfolio.

  • Act as a key liaison between the engineering organization and other functional areas, including product management, operations, and quality.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team responsible for various aspects of program and project management and ensure the department administration (budgets, goal setting, performance management, hiring, etc.) is managed effectively

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; advanced degree preferred.

  • 10 years of experience in engineering program management, with a proven track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional programs in a technology-driven environment.

  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and applying program management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience managing and developing high-performing program management teams.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Deep understanding of battery technology, energy storage systems, and related industries, with a passion for innovation and sustainability.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on driving impact and delivering value.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies and time zones is a plus.

  • PMP, PgMP, or other relevant certifications are desirable.

  • Able and willing to travel to Form Energy locations (WV, MA) as needed; anticipated monthly in first year and then quarterly over time.
