Industrial MID SHIFT Blaster Job Opening at FORJAK Industrial! 

FORJAK Industrial is currently seeking a Full-Time Industrial Mid Shift Blaster to join our team. This position is based in our facility and is not a remote job. As an Industrial Mid Shift Blaster, you will be responsible for operating industrial blasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for further treatment or coating.

Duties and Responsibilities

About the Role:

A day in the life: Our Industrial Blast Plant Technician has a keen eye for attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role is critical to our manufacturing operations, as you would be responsible for removing rust and other material buildup from rough surfaces using specialized equipment that sprays abrasive materials. The material is typically a mixture of coarse sand and compressed air, which is forced through a hose at high pressure to smooth or clean the surface. 

On a given day, as an Industrial Blaster, you will:

• For the purpose of achieving certain surface profiles, our blasters will finish the blasting of metal components. This will allow our painters to cover the metal properly.
• Collaborate with quality control personnel to ensure that blasted surfaces are properly prepared to receive coatings, providing a strong foundation for finish quality and durability. Make any necessary touch-ups or corrections as needed.
• Setting up and operating a blast booth or similar equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, tools, and materials.
• Complete the necessary paperwork, including internal documentation, inspection reports, and safety logs.
• Adhere to company work safety policies.
• Other miscellaneous duties, as assigned

Schedule & Travel:

This is a full-time Monday through Friday position located in Circleville, Ohio. This position would work from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

The qualified candidate we seek is an Industrial Painter or Blaster with these QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in industrial blasting or a related field is preferred. 
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and/or work instructions.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in confined spaces or at heights as required.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise control of blasting equipment.
• Meticulous attention to detail is needed to identify defects, damage, or contaminants on workpieces and ensure thorough cleaning and preparation.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and supervisors to achieve production goals and maintain quality standards.
• Strong communication skills to convey information and instructions accurately and clearly.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, tasks, and work environments in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills, techniques, and technologies related to industrial blasting.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and dedication to completing tasks accurately and on time.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to company policies and procedures.
