Job Overview:

Provides excellence in massage therapy services to Forest Highlands Golf Club Members and Guests. The primary focus of the Massage Therapist is to be knowledgeable in their field, make members feel welcome, and help with the health and wellness of all Forest Highland’s members.

Essential Functions:

Customer Service – Assist members with massage therapy services and information. Provide prompt, polite and professional service to the membership (customer). Maintain a professional appearance by wearing the appropriate uniform at all times. Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe environment. Confer with management to resolve any member issues/complaints.

• Understand the needs of the member and perform treatments specific to the individual

• Ensure that the massage table is in good condition – report to manager if not.

• Be punctual and prepared for each session.

• Change sheets, keep room clean, fill lotions and oils

• Work as a team with other therapists to keep the facility clean and safe.

• Be available to work some weekends, evenings and holidays

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED and Nationally recognized massage therapist certificate

• Minimum of 2 years of experience

• Current First Aid/CPR (upon hire opportunities to obtain these certifications will be provided)

• Clean background check

• Basic knowledge of country club and golf course operations.

• Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.

• Must be self-motivated with a positive and professional attitude.

• Organized, able to work in a busy environment where the priorities are changing.

• Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks during busy times while working flexible hours with an enthusiastic personality.

• Maintain a professional appearance.

• Must be reliable.

Preferred Requirements:

• 1 to 3 years of related experience in a private club; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the industry as a whole.

• Ability to handle all safety and concerns in fitness environment

• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
