FOREST DENTAL CENTER is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Lynchburg, VA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, taking vital signs, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for patients.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures

- Take and record accurate vital signs of patients

- Prepare treatment rooms for procedures and maintain cleanliness

- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment

- Take dental X-rays and process them for diagnosis

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices

- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred

- Current CPR certification

- X-ray certification is required

- Proficiency in Open Dental or similar dental software is a plus

- Knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures

- Experience is highly desirable

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
