ForeFlight is looking for a Test Analyst to join our Test Engineering team. You'll work with product managers, developers, designers and other Test Engineering team members to develop and execute manual and automated tests on new and existing ForeFlight applications and services.
Aviation experience is desired for this role. Technical skills related to software automation testing are important as well. You should also know your way around iOS/macOS and Windows hardware/software and be an analytical and critical thinker.
Professionally, this person is driven to execute, deliver, and complete projects independently, seeking advice and direction from team members when needed, and plowing ahead to completion. This person should be able to highlight examples of their ability to meet the objectives outlined. References will confirm this person's unique abilities.
This position can be based at one of our three offices (Austin, TX, Houston, TX, or Portland, ME) or fully remote from select states. Benefits include medical insurance, 401(k) with matching, and flight training reimbursement.
Required Skills:

• Experience with our products: ForeFlight Mobile, ForeFlight Web or ForeFlight Military Flight Bag
• Basic understanding of the software development life cycle and scrum best practices
• Experience with gathering, analyzing, and translating broad requirements and designs into testable features with traceability
• Practical experience with any test case management tool
• Experience developing test scripts for mobile applications
• System test execution (software verification and validation)

Desired Skills:

• Flight experience with pilot's license
• Basic understanding of automation frameworks such as; Selenium,Appium, XCTest Framework
• Testing web serviceAPIs(REST, Hessian and SOAP)
• Experience using any of the following:
  
  • ForeFlight Mobile or Jeppesen FliteDeck Pro X
  • Integrated Development Environments (Xcode, Visual Studio, PyCharm/IntelliJ)
  • Tricentis qTest
  • Atlassian products including Confluence, and JIRA
  • GitHub
