Description:
The Bid Estimator (BE) is responsible for reviewing specifications and plans, preparing an accurate bill of materials, and preparing a materials cost estimate as a part of the Bid Center. The Bid Center works on some of Fords most high-profile projects. The BE is solely responsible for the integrity of the bill of materials, materials cost estimate, and preliminary labor cost including in-shop, field installation, field engineering, and travel cost estimates. This position works under the direction of the Bid Estimation Manager, organizing the take-off and resulting estimates in a manner responsive to the bid forms and related documents.
