JOB SUMMARY: The Systems Analyst is responsible for all phases of project delivery such as defining, planning, prioritizing, implementing, and ongoing system maintenance (primarily for JIRA (Atlassian) workflow system administration). As part of Forbright's system consolidation efforts, the System Analyst maintains strategic systems that focus on continual process improvement and technology to deliver an efficient experience for business groups and customers, as well as supporting critical regulatory response and remediation efforts. This role requires strong teamwork, communication, and organization skills needed to drive progress across various business groups throughout the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Jira system administration: process user requests, configure, and maintain the system workflow
  • Work autonomously on large and small scale projects that have a direct impact on the organization
  • Drive projects based on defined priorities: ensure scope of deliverables, timelines, and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escalate as needed
  • Follow strong change control processes to properly vet and implement system changes communicated by the business users
  • Ensure status reports are submitted regularly, accurate, appropriately detailed, and visible to all appropriate team members while also maintaining key systems documentation
  • Display strong consulting and collaboration skills to work with key stakeholders to understand business problems and focus on bringing issues to resolution, escalating as necessary to meet timelines. This includes clarifying and defining business needs requirements as well as using cases
  • Proactively identify and remediate risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where necessary
  • Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent
  • Build relationships as an active and engaged member of a team that is working on delivering features to our business groups and / or customers
  • Identify ways to improve and streamline business processes
  • Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands and work in a dynamic environment
  • Supervise assigned employees by organizing and monitoring work progress
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Manage performance of employees through development, coaching, and counseling

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 0-1 year of experience with Jira (Atlassian product suite) administration, or another help desk platform (i.e., ServiceNow or BMC) preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in IT or related field required
  • 0-1 year of banking/financial services industry experience preferred
  • 0-1 year of experience with Agile product development preferred
  • 0-1 year of scripting experience (I.e., Bash, Powershell, Excel Macros) preferred
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem solving and influencing skills
  • Successfully work cross-functionally
  • Innovative and takes initiative
