For Each 1 Reach 1 Mentoring Program, Inc./Reach Academy has opportunities for Tutors to join our team!. We are looking for tutors for all subjects and grades for online and in person sessions. The pay is based on experience. We are located at 7318 Sunshine Grove Road Brooksville, FL 34613

 Essential Functions of the Position: 

Tutors should always operate with integrity, doing what is in the best interest of the program. 

Tutors will instruct individual students as well as small and large groups of students in academic subjects to support formal class instruction or to prepare students for standardized or admissions tests. 

Tutors must provide encouraging adult interaction and positive reinforcement in order to promote and develop healthy self-esteem and the confidence necessary to reach academic goals. 

They must help students reach proficient basic math and literacy skills through implementing the prescribed curriculum lessons as well as using supplementary materials and resources. 

Tutors must help students to develop healthy study skills by teaching students to realize their cognitive preferences and study habits. 

A Tutor's responsibilities include: tutoring lessons that are grade and subject appropriate, asking students about upcoming assessments, and providing parents with progress updates. 

Tutors must be punctual, friendly, and approachable. 

Tutors should make students feel comfortable enough to share what they are struggling with and find new ways to help students with their unique challenges. 

 Desired Qualifications / Skills: 

Associates Degree or higher 

Or have experience/special training with tutoring youth. 

Or have a clear understanding of the subject and their application and be able to support the youth academically.

 Pass a background check. 

Ability to make sound judgment. 

Utilize multimedia and computer technology effectively. 

Organized 

Reliable 

Time management skills
