Foot Locker Corporate Services, Inc. is Hiring a Maintenance Technician Level 3 Near Camp Hill, PA

Overview:
Be a part of our Distribution Center because we know how satisfying it is to walk around in a new pair of sneakers, and it is our job to get footwear onto the feet of our fans.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing support in general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and the upkeep of the entire service center. Responsibilities include maintaining all Facility/ Material Handling Equipment, and ground equipment through preventative maintenance schedules while providing additional support to the maintenance department as required.

Available Schedules:
  • 1st Shift 7:30AM - 4:00 PM - Monday through Friday
  • 3rd Shift 9:00 PM - 5:30 AM - Sunday through Thursday
Base rate paid bi-weekly: Starting rate from $23.00 to $31.00 per hour - BASED ON EXPERIENCE.

Shift Differential:
  • 3rd Shift - $1.25 per hour.
Seasonal Attendance Bonus:
  • From 11/12/2023 until 12/30/2023, earn up to $120.00 attendance bonus each week, which equates to an additional $3.00 per hour! (Eligibility and policy rules will apply).
Referral Bonus: Refer a friend and you both obtain $900 (Paid out in four increments - Eligibility and policy rules apply)
Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems (i.e. belt tracking, sensors, chain alignment and tension, replace/repair gear boxes/motors, electrical overloads, blown fuses, broken mac valves, etc…) as well as analyze and repair basic system/material handling equipment malfunctions.
  • Ensure all assigned equipment is fully operational at beginning of shift which includes checking for damage and reporting all damages or malfunctions to supervisor immediately.
  • Operate lift trucks, maintenance equipment, grounds equipment, and company vehicles.
  • Perform extensive maintenance procedures including conducting daily preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to the supervisor; cleans equipment.
  • Properly follows critical Lock Out / Tag Out actions while working on equipment.
  • Properly follows company and OSHA safety procedures; use required Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. safety glasses, Arc flash suits, respirators, and fall protection).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support Junior Technicians through basic facility/grounds maintenance including but not limited to basic plumbing, yard work, lightbulb replacement, drywall repair, HVAC checks, cleaning, and floor repairs.
  • Support Senior Technicians through troubleshooting and repair of extensive electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems (i.e. Programable Logic Controller malfunctions, transformer failures, circuit card diagnostics, shoe/tilt tray sorter repairs, servo motor troubleshooting, cardboard baler service, etc…).
  • Ability to read, write, conduct business related mathematics, analyze data, and utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System as required.
  • Brings problems to the attention of the supervisor, manager, safety director or HR manager.
  • Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
  • All other duties as assigned; willing to use industrial power tools such as welders, bandsaws, lathes, presses, bench grinders, etc…..
  • Effectively communicate/interact amicably with fellow associates, team members, supervisors, and managers.

  • Required to stand (stationary position) during scheduled hours. Hours usually include weekends, evenings, and holidays in conjunction with labor regulations.

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to communicate using various methods.
  • Kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling, climbing ladders, and moving weights of 0-25 pounds constantly, 25-40 pounds occasionally and over 40 pounds seldomly with or without assistance as needed.
  • Ability to move up to 40 pounds at least 25 feet in distance occasionally with assistance as needed.
  • Must be comfortable ambulating 30-40 feet in the air.
  • Must be able to comfortably fit and work in a fall protection harness.
  • Based on business necessity associates may be required to temporarily work in other locations that require different physical demands.
  • Operate hand and/or portable power tools at a proficient level.
  • Operate and maintain the multi-shifter.
  • Maintain, test and service industrial batteries.
  • Complete assigned mechanical, electrical and plumbing assignments.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to assigned equipment.
  • Conduct thorough daily preventive maintenance inspections.
  • Operate lift trucks, maintenance equipment (scissor lift and genie boom lift) grounds equipment and company vehicles.
  • Accurately complete departmental paperwork.
  • Operate Computer Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Analyze and repair basic equipment/system malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic Electro-mechanical problems (i.e. belt tracking, sensors, chain alignment and tension, replace/repair gear boxes/motors, electrical overloads, blown fuses, etc.).
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Set-up and repair shelving/racking and other types of material handling storage structures.
  • Must be able to certify and operate all equipment as required.
  • Ability to work without close supervision and pay close attention to detail.
  • Comply with all safety regulations of the Distribution Center, use required Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. safety glasses respirators, and fall protection), practice all safety programs (i.e. lockout/tagout proper lifting). Must adhere to all policies and procedures of the Distribution Center.
  • Maintain a clean work area. Maintain clean tools and work area.
  • Work with co-workers in a professional, respectful, cooperative and courteous manner.
  • Regular and punctual attendance and ability to work overtime as required.
  • Demonstrate positive, customer service and team-oriented demeanor.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:
This position requires a basic understanding of all technical areas and an intermediate / overall understanding in at least two (2) technical areas (specified below). This includes general troubleshooting, as well as routine repairs. This position also requires the ability to read, understand and complete plan modifications and schematics.
Technical Areas: Electrical, Controls, Mechanical, Carpentry, Pneumatics and Welding

  • The Maintenance Technician must be able to communicate effectively when dealing with other associates, supervisors, operations managers and staff. This includes the use of nonverbal communication including eye contact, body language, posture and all aspects of written forms of communication.

PHYSICAL FITNESS:
  • The Maintenance Technician must have physical strength and be able to perform the physical tasks of the position. Pursuant to OSHA code: 29CFR 1910.66 I (f), and Harness manufacturer guidelines, all technicians must be physically fit to utilize fall protection equipment.
  • Ability to stand for a full shift.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Frequent stooping, walking, leaning and reaching.
  • High level of manual dexterity.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two year’s maintenance/mechanical/repair experience or vocational diploma in related area(s).
  • A working understanding of P.L.C’s. and PC Controls with minimal assistance.
  • Must have knowledge of basic welding, electrical procedures and related safety guidelines.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience with automation control or conveyor equipment or equivalent training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
