Food Nutrition Service is Hiring a District Manager Near Brunswick, NJ

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Regional Operations Manager, the District Manager will manage and direct the operation of multi-unit assigned accounts. The district manager will oversee a team of food service directors to ensure PDG meets a service of excellence through sanitation, corporate compliance, and resident satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruits, Trains, and Onboards new directors and staff within established timeframes.
  • Conducts, with the directors, weekly sanitation inspections and assigns Plan of Correction (POC) within timeframe for completion. Performs follow-up and direction with POC development and sustained corrective actions.
  • Communicate expectations and ensure accountability of directors and staff.
  • Oversees spending, food procurement and ensures established budget compliance.
  • Troubleshoots and addresses day-to-day operational issues and those voiced by administration.
  • Ensures corporate compliance through WhatsApp participation, weekly accounting reports, census reports, test trays and scheduled in-services.
  • Maintains regular communication with Directors of assigned accounts through conference calls and TEAMS Meetings.
  • Ensures adherence to all Facility, Local, State and Federal Regulations.
  • Maintains excellent relationships with facility administration and department employees. Initiate one-on-one meetings with DON or admin when on site.
  • Promotes professional growth and development of Directors through establishing goals, monitors execution and performs follow up.
  • Maintains a presentable and professional work attire including name tag.
  • Attends Resident council, food committee and other onsite food related events.
  • Interacts with residents to build trust, gather feedback and improve satisfaction.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by regional manager and VP.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 1 year experience operating a single PDG account.
  • Minimum of 5 years proven leadership experience in multi-unit setting.
  • Experience in the healthcare food service operations.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong emphasis on client relationship building and employee engagement.
  • Current CDM and Serv-safe Certification.
  • Strong knowledge of current food trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost and plate presentation.
  • Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience desirable.
  • Must be forward thinking, initiative-taking, and the face of Pinnacle Dietary Global.
  • Covid Vaccine, Physical exam and PPD test required.
