Duties and responsibilities
·Plan and implement the overall Procurement strategy
·Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams
·Determine and maintain key KPIs for all levels of procurement activities to include but not be limited to supplier performance, buyer activity levels, financial performance, and material shortage elimination
·Oversee the Materials Review Board and Inventory Obsolescence
·Participate in Vendor negotiations
·Suggest solutions for process improvements
·Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions promptly
·Train and evaluate team members
·Provide constructive feedback to direct hires and peers
·Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors
·Build and maintain good relationships with vendors
Requirements and qualifications
·Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, or similar relevant field (MBA a plus)
·Previous working experience as a Procurement/Purchasing Manager for 5 years
·Hands-on experience with software (such as MS Office, Monarch, Salesforce.com)
·Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on PLI’s success
·Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
·Team player
·Good time-management skills
·Great interpersonal and communication skills
