Food Management Search is Hiring a CNC Machinist - 5 axis Near Mason, OH

Are you a skilled Machinist with a passion for precision machining? We are seeking an enthusiastic 5 Axis Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in setting up and operating 5-axis CNC mills and lathes within a job shop environment. If you have a strong background in CNC machining and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to understand the tolerances of finished workpieces.
  • Set up or operate 5-axis CNC mills and lathes. 
  • Operate and understand measuring instruments, such as height gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
  • Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls as required.
  • Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications using various measuring tools.
  • Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and Statistical Process Control (SPC) preferred.
  • Set up and operate machines on trial runs to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.
  • Collaborate with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining problems.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and computer entries.
  • Perform light deburring, buffing, or polishing of parts as required.
  • Comply with foreign object prevention techniques when working on the product.
  • Stay current and proficient with all applicable quality processes associated with assigned work.
  • Clean and maintain work area.
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
