Great career opportunity with well-established and successful, 30 years and continually growing, Employee-Owned Engineering / Construction company for a direct hire full-time Assistant Project Manager in the Denver area. The selected candidate ideally needs to be residing in the Denver area. However, company will consider relocating a candidate with strong matching credentials. Initial two projects will be in the Denver area for the next 24 months with subsequent projects located nationwide. Management sees this position as a first step into a future Project Manager position depending on the selected candidate’s performance with these initial 2 Denver projects. Future projects will be in industrial gas processing, RNG / Biogas, CNG, Food Processing and other Industrial Process type projects and could be located anywhere in the United States. Selected candidate will be responsible for the soliciting, purchasing development, contracting development, and coordinating the delivery of materials and subcontract labor, and assuring compliance with design and delivery requirements within budget and on schedule. Initial two projects span 24 months in duration are in the Denver, CO area with the first being a CNG Fueling infrastructure and an 80K sq ft Commercial Vehicle Maintenance Facility project at one site, and at another site a 70K sq ft recycling plant facility. Candidates who have 3 years of process plant construction, biogas upgrading facilities, CNG Fueling, RNG process plants, food processing and other related industrial process projects are desired. The company is ideally looking for Civil engineering, Industrial Process, Construction Management and Environmental Engineering related experience. Responsibilities:

• Position reports directly to the PM and indirectly to the Project Executive Daily tracking of subcontractor submittals and updating of the submittal logs for each project

• Daily tracking of subcontractor submittals and updating of the submittal logs for each project

• Solicit, purchase, contract, coordinate, and assure design requirement compliance for all project materials in keeping with Company standards, including standard Company purchasing agreements

• Solicit, purchase, subcontract, coordinate, and assure design requirement compliance for all project labor and subcontract work in keeping with Company standards, including standard Company subcontracting agreements

• Assure all purchasing activities are within project budget and cost control limits

• Assure compliance with all Company standards, systems, and practices in execution of Project Engineering work

• Assure compliance and interface with project material submittal requirements, including shop drawings, catalogue cuts, samples, and mock-ups

• Develop and maintain submittal schedule and log

• Coordinate with Project Designer regarding material interfacing and design/specification requirements

• Coordinate with Project Superintendent regarding project scheduling and delivery requirements

• Prepare draft meeting minutes, phone call minutes, and weekly reports for review by PM/supervisor

• Assist Project Manager with preparation of monthly invoices / pay applications, IOR’s, and other control items as assigned by PM/supervisor

• Coordination with the design team on submittal approvals

• Daily tracking of subcontractor RFI’s and updating of the RFI logs

• Coordination with the design team on RFI’s from initiation to completion

• Tracking of subcontractor change order requests/costs

• Assisting the project superintendent with tracking field changes and monitoring of subcontractor field activities

• Assisting the PM with project overall cost control and tracking

• MEP and Fire Protection coordination for all buildings and sitework

• Coordination with owner supplied equipment submittals and installation

Qualifications:

• 3 years as Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineering, or Project Manager of commercial / industrial construction of concrete foundations and engineered metal buildings or multi-story buildings

• Experience with Biogas / RNG process, Gas process, Industrial Process, Process Piping, Water treatment, Food Processing, or related type projects a plus

• Field experience managing sitework, structural concrete, vertical building, MEP and tenant finishes is desired

• 4-year degree in civil engineering, environmental, mechanical, construction management, or related engineering field

• Proactive, organized, and proficient in managing responsibilities and projects.

• Able to read blueprints and schematics.

• Good user skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Experience with ProCore a plus

• Strong communication skills and ability to interact and communicate with all levels.

• Must be physically capable of climbing ladders, walking complete job site
