Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Produce Manager to join our team. As a Produce Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the produce department, ensuring the highest quality of products and exceptional customer service. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the produce department, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and merchandising
- Ensure that all produce is fresh, properly displayed, and meets quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust orders as needed to maintain optimal stock levels
- Train and supervise produce department staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Create and implement strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with other department managers to coordinate promotions and special events
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely manner

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in store management or as an assistant manager in a grocery or produce setting
- Strong knowledge of produce varieties, seasonality, and quality standards
- Excellent math skills for inventory management and pricing calculations
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems for sales transactions
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve goals
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to negotiate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships
- Experience with cash handling procedures
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time
