Food Lion is Hiring a Grocery Stocker Near Banner, NC
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stocking Associate to join our team. As a Stocking Associate, you will be responsible for receiving and organizing merchandise, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the store is clean and well-stocked. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a strong attention to detail.
Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the merchandise
- Unpack, label, and organize merchandise in designated areas
- Stock shelves, racks, and displays with new merchandise
- Use a variety of equipment such as forklifts, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and cash registers
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies
- Assist customers with locating products and provide excellent customer service
- Keep the store clean and organized by performing general cleaning duties
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse environment preferred
- Familiarity with operating equipment such as forklifts, RF scanners, and pallet jacks is a plus
- Basic math skills for inventory management
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Multilingual abilities are a plus
