Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for designing and decorating cakes according to customer requests. Your artistic flair and attention to detail will play a key role in creating visually stunning and delicious cakes for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake cake layers according to recipes and customer specifications
- Decorate cakes using various techniques such as piping, fondant, and icing
- Create custom designs based on customer requests, including themed cakes for special occasions
- Ensure that all cakes are finished with precision and attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the decorating area
- Collaborate with the bakery team to ensure timely production of cakes
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with cake selection and answering any questions they may have
Experience:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting, preferably in the food industry
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and knife skills
- Familiarity with food production processes and safe food handling practices
- Experience in catering or pastry is a plus
- Strong artistic skills with the ability to create visually appealing cake designs
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
