The mission of the Food Bank of Delaware is to provide nutritious foods to Delawareans in need and facilitate long-term solutions to the problems of hunger and poverty through community education and advocacy.

Position Summary
As the Recruitment Coordinator, you are responsible for the outreach and screening of prospective Delaware Food Works students. This role includes the screening of potential students, understanding of current and new sources of funding, and scholarships, as well as maintaining and updating all information regarding student placement and long-term tracking. This position will also develop and maintain relationships with organizations and agencies who provide student referrals. This is a safety sensitive position.
Major Responsibilities and Essential Functions
· Develop and implement a recruitment and screening plan to identify potential students for the Workforce Training programs
· Determine potential participant eligibility, administer assessment of the academic and skill levels, service and development needs of the potential participants
· Identify appropriate services and career pathways in partnership with the Delaware Food Works team
· Use educational assessment tools (i.e. CASAS) to assess reading and math skills
· Identify potential participants’ eligibility for funding, and ensuring funding is approved prior to the start of training
· Coordinate a “seamless” transition from screening and interview to training
· Collect data and program evaluation assigned for this position, including all potential student tracking information, all financial information (internal and external) and formalized intake information
· Create and update documents that are easily accessible by all FBD staff, with the information stated above, and providing reports as necessary, both internally and externally
· Establish and maintain strong working partnerships with other relevant organizations and agencies to provide student referrals and funding sources
· Develop and maintain relationships with all income-generating student referral organizations (DOL/DVR, etc.) to ensure that the Workforce Training remains in compliance with all student referral agencies rules and guidelines, including all formal and informal reporting, meeting with agencies as requested, and being the primary contact for all counselors regarding general student information as well as all financial (billing and payment) information
· Work with designated FBD staff to assist in development and implementation of an overall marketing plan for DFW
· Work as part of a team as well as being able to work independently in all aspects of the position
· Collaborate with Workforce Training Programs Director regularly to ensure timely and accurate completion of all tasks, as well as discuss any current or new ideas, thoughts, or suggestions
Qualifications and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Services, Training/Development, or a related field
· Two (2) years of related experience
· Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of people
· ServSafe Food Protection Manager Instructor/Proctor Certified or ability to be certified within 6 months of employment
· OSHA-10 Instructor/Proctor Certified, or ability to be certified within 3 months of employment
· Certified to administer the CASAS and TABE or ability to be certified within 3 months of employment
· Demonstrated ability in both written and verbal communications and listening skills
· Solid acumen in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
· Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects
· Ability to maintain a flexible schedule
· Able to work some evenings and weekends as needed
· A valid driver’s license for the past three years; clean driving record (no points or moving violation within the last three years)

Physical Requirements
· Working at a computer workstation, generally with a monitor, will be required
· Occasional exposure to warehouse and commercial kitchen environments

· May require sitting, bending, lifting (up to 20 pounds), squatting and other minimal physical activity
