POSITION OVERVIEW:

As the Dispatch Supervisor for Facilities and Public Areas (PAD), you will design and develop the overall life safety strategy at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. This position’s comprehensive knowledge and ability to communicate with a diverse audience will ensure the reliable safety of all our operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Oversee the facilities and PAD dispatch team to ensure incoming calls are being answered and dispatched appropriately
  • Ensure the maintenance of dispatch logs and activities performed throughout the day
  • Oversee the Life Safety Response System and the monitoring of all alarm systems on property by the dispatchers
  • In partnership with the Directors of Facilities, coordinate, plan, implement, and evaluate overall life safety strategy, policies, initiatives, and plans to ensure the compliance of the Company and the safety of guests, Team Members, buildings, and assets of the resort
  • Write, evaluate, and adjust, the organization’s fire command and life safety plan accordingly as requested by a Director of Facilities
  • Use CMMS to monitor and direct hotel engineer’s productivity in an effort to minimize guest response and resolution times
  • Review productivity reports, look for deficiencies and/or opportunities for improvement, and bring to leadership’s attention
  • Ensures necessary documentation and plans are in place for fire command and life safety sections of the overall property safety plan, disaster recovery, evacuation plan, and maps; and ensure the communication of these plans
  • Conduct training to ensure all management and staff understand their roles in an emergency
  • Develop strong relationships and work closely with the construction/development teams, all executives, officials, security, and facilities as well as department heads to achieve the safest place to work
  • Prepare reports for management on key metrics
  • Ensures compliance with all laws, policies, and procedures
  • Establish and manage the fire floor monitor program
  • Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or an equivalent
  • Two (2) years of fire prevention, risk management, life safety, or related experience in a Hotel/Casino environment
  • Knowledge of fire control systems and operating procedures
  • Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication and team skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the documents, such as technical journals, regulatory information, city, state, and county life safety and fire command code enforcement
  • Must have strong organizational skills and efficient use of time
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment while meeting deadlines
  • Must maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Must maintain the highest level of integrity; Adaptive to change with positive actions and behaviors
  • Must adhere to and supports all safety requirements
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
  • Ability to provide leadership and direction contributing to the success of the organization through engaging, developing, and mentoring individuals and teams
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Able to lead and mentor a team
  • Excellent organizational skills; be able to function under time constraints and deadlines with attention to detail
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights and weekends

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job supervises positions within the Dispatch department.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Team Member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
