Position: Material Handler
Location: Springfield OH
Pay: $18/HR - $19/HR
Work Schedule - Monday - Friday {7:00am - 3:00pm}Responsibilities as a Material Handler:
- Gather red tagged material from the production line daily and stage in appropriate red tag disposition area.
- Work with Quality Engineer daily to determine disposition of rejected material. (RTV, Rework, Scrap)
- Update Rejected Material excel spreadsheet and transfer material into “rejects” location in M2M database.
- Responsible for ensuring the rejected materials spreadsheet matches our M2M database by part number, qty and cost.
- Send out weekly scrap reports, obtain approval to scrap and dispose of material properly.
- Coordinate with Production Manager on material that will be reworked in house and returned to stock.
- Work with suppliers for material that has a disposition of RTV. Obtain RMA#’s to return material for credit or failure analysis.
- Create credit PO’s in M2M, ensure material is packaged and shipped out properly using the appropriate accounts.
- Responsible for following up with suppliers on credit returns and ensuring credit memos are processed accordingly. Work directly with accounting to ensure all open credit PO’s are closed out properly.
- Notify Purchasing and ICM in the event we need to purge stock due to a rejection. Responsible for purging stock from inventory.
- Work with suppliers to obtain material for kits that are down Rev to make them current.
- Responsible for coordinating freight claims. Work with freight company to ensure all documents, photos, etc. are processed accordingly and claims are processed in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Production Manager on tools that are red tagged in the shop. Determine if they are under warranty or require rework. Work with suppliers to rework, or order replacements.
- Must keep work areas clean and organized.
- High attention to detail
- Working knowledge in Excel, MS word and Power Point
- Ability to E-mail and correspond with suppliers
- Excellent record keeping skills
- Very organized
- 1 year Inventory Experience
- Shipping experience
- Capable of lifting parts up to 50lbs
- Ability to work full time with overtime.
