Folsom Endoscopy Center LLC is Hiring a Patient Access Coordinator Near Folsom, CA

Folsom Sierra Endoscopy Center is a more convenient, cost-effective and flexible alternative to hospital-based surgery for both surgeons and their patients. We deliver friendly, highly responsive and attentive service in a more comfortable environment. We are physician- and patient-friendly, with fast and efficient turnaround times.

We are currently searching for FT Patient Access Coordinator to work Mondays – Fridays who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. The patient access coordinator is responsible for areas such as insurance verification scheduling of surgical procedures billing coding accounts receivables accounts payables records or transcription of operative procedures. Promotes a favorable image of the practice to physicians patients insurance companies and the general public.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Schedules all office and surgical procedures and pre-operative appointments
  • Has good knowledge and understanding of the surgery schedule and the format utilized by the practice
  • Coordinates and schedules surgeries before ensures that the needed documentation is obtained from all patients
  • Ensures that all patients receive needed information prior to surgery
  • Interact with patients’ physicians and other staff within the practice
  • Works effectively to manage the physicians office and surgery Schedule
  • Provides accurate timely and responsive information to patients physicians and other stakeholders
  • Coordinates processes around all paperwork as required to meet physician and facility requirements.
  • Ensures efficient telephone communication follows all written protocols and procedures of the practice updates and distributes the surgery scheduled as needed
  • Makes appointment reminder calls to patients as requested answers questions and provide information to patients as it relates to office/surgery scheduling and documentation
  • Requests patient record as required by the physician
  • Verbally delivers instructions to patients and families
  • Performs all job functions in a HIPAA compliant manner
  • Collects payments and deductibles as directed processes payment in accordance with the practice.
  • Demonstrates courtesy and helpfulness toward patients and their families.
  • Attends all required education period regular and predictable attendance.
  • Verifies all patient insurance and obtains necessary referrals slash authorization as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience as certified nursing assistant or medical technician in a procedural setting. GI experience preferred.
  • You must possess a HS school diploma/GED and a BLS certification
  • At least 1 year experience as a Patient Care Coordinator and/or social work experience preferred
