Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to expectant mothers throughout the labor and delivery process. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to ensuring a safe and positive birthing experience for both mother and baby.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods
- Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and maternal vital signs
- Administer medications, including pain management techniques, as prescribed by the physician
- Assist with the management of complications during childbirth
- Educate patients on prenatal care, breastfeeding, and newborn care
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans for patients
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks)
- Maintain a sterile environment during procedures using aseptic technique
- Perform diagnostic evaluations, such as cervical exams, ultrasounds, and fetal monitoring
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout the birthing process

Requirements:

- Experience as an RN in Labor and Delivery Antepartum and/or Obstetrics Operative

- Must have minimum 1 year experience as RN in Acute Care setting

- Must have NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) from American Academics of Pediatrics

- Completed AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Course

- Active BLS, PALS, ACLS through American Heart Association.
