CT Radiology Tech - 7p-7a CT Technologist Sylacauga, Alabama $22-35 General SummaryOperate fixed and portable fluoroscopic or conventional radiographic equipment to obtain radiographs. Assist physicians in examinations, preparing contrast and assisting in sterile procedures, etc. In addition to general radiology, performs functions of specialty area in Computed Tomography. Responsibilities
Treats guests, patients, physicians and team members with care, courtesy and respect in accordance to CVMC’s Mission Statement and Guest Excellence Creed.
Ensures that quality patient care and safety remain a top priority at all times.
Adheres to CVMC attendance and appearance guidelines at all times.
Transports patients to and from radiology department. Ensure proper identification of patient. Assist patients with dressing and undressing and lifts patients on and off exam table.
Explains procedures to patients. Observe patients during test and reports unusual occurrence and records patients’ condition.
Follows prescribed technique in administering general and specific x-rays. Adjust equipment, determines proper voltage, current expiration time; arranges support devices for patient position, adjusts shield and select film.
Maintains stock supplies, and performs general office duties - filing, hanging films, report, request CPSI, etc.
Assist physicians in exams by mixing and pouring contrast media, injecting media, holding and turning patients, etc.
Demonstrates radiograph methods, techniques and procedures for students and hospital personnel as necessary.
Maintain expertise in radio logic procedures. Trains new employees in routine x-ray and CT.
Performs procedures within specialty area of CT.
EDUCATION - Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as well as operation and maintenance of radio logic equipment as normally acquired through completion of two years post high school training in an approved school of radio logic technology. ARRT and CT registery required. EXPERIENCE - Minimum one to two years experience as a Radiology Technologist and/or CT Technologist.
