Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for a critical access Hospital in Berlin Wisconsin. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative period.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations of patients
- Develop and implement anesthetic plans based on patient needs and surgical requirements
- Administer anesthesia during surgical procedures, monitoring patient vital signs and adjusting anesthesia levels as necessary
- Manage airway and ventilation during surgery
- Provide post-anesthetic care, including pain management and monitoring of recovery
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document all anesthesia-related care accurately and thoroughly
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Current certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Experience working in a hospital or surgical setting
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (such as Athenahealth)
- Strong knowledge of patient care principles and practices
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control measures
- Experience in ophthalmology anesthesia is preferred but not required
- Skill in IV insertion and management of IV lines
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 coding, and diagnostic evaluation
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
