Assist the Physical Therapist in the care of patients providing treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
1-3 years of experience preferred.
-Working in an Outpatient Physical Therapy office in collaboration with Physical Therapists treating patients with Orthopedic and Extremity diagnoses, Neurological Dysfunctions and Fall Risk patients, also including our Aquatic Therapy program.
- Proper application of treatment modalities including HP/CP, ESTIM, US, massage and appropriate manual therapies within the scope of care of PTA. Appropriate progression of therapeutic exercise/activities, ADL training, gait training with patient population and caseload.
-All patient care documentation meets current professional and clinical standards. This includes daily progress notes, updated patient POC/ prescriptions, and collaboration with PT on patient re-assessments and discharge reports. Notes must be thorough/ complete, timely, legible and efficient.
- Consistently report to PT with information including patient progress/status, problems during or between treatment visits to allow for updated goals and modifications of program by PT.
-Communicate professionally with staff and patients.
-Attends required continuing education courses according to State of Florida regulations.
-Consistently meet patient care productivity standards for position.
-Demonstrate a proactive attitude toward patient compliance, assisting with patient scheduling, calling patients that cancel or no-show, and overall management of patient caseload to reduce patient attrition and increase therapy appointment attendance.
-Adhere to all Federal, State, and company billing rules and regulations.

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
