Focus Forward takes an innovative approach toward traditional adult day programs transforming it into a high-energy environment providing essential life skills training activities and community trips. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Implements instructional materials based on supervisor directions
• Teaches and models appropriate adult behavior for clients to imitate
• Monitors clients at all times
• Supervises clients out in the community at all times
• Advocates for the rights of each client
• Prompts client through self-care tasks as needed
• Maintains supplies and equipment for room use
• Files records and materials as needed
• Demonstrates respect for clients, colleagues, administrators, and families
• Models and reinforces self-discipline and responsibility
• Performs other related duties as required

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written with program personnel, administrators and clients
• Ability to handle specific tasks independently and in a timely manner
• Ability to establish and follow through on appropriate priorities and work with a minimum amount of supervision
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff members, administrators and clients
• Proficient use of computer programs in order to fulfill job duties
• Maintain a valid driver's license and insured vehicle to drive clients on off site community trips
• May be required to climb, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, sit or stand for long periods of time; walk, lift up to 50 pounds

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28,200.00 - $30,000.00 per year
