Hiring a Full-Time Optometry Assistant. Experience in the field and Spanish speaking is a plus. Pay is commensurate with experience.

We are looking for a friendly and hardworking optometry assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be passionate about providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain medical and vision history, verify insurance, and performing preliminary vision tests
• Performing patient screenings, light clerical duties, pre-examinations, and by handling insurance and billing matters
• Schedule appointments and follow-up visits for patients and record data for patient billing purposes
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families
• Maintain a clean and organized workspaces
• Answer phone calls to triage medical questions, update patients on optical orders, and schedule appointments

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent customer service skills
