Focal Point Medical Staffing is hiring Specimen Collectors for per diem (PRN)

positions in the Durham, NC area for Health services facilities! See below for full details and benefits.

The Specimen Collector will be required to work in a healthcare service facility. Responsible for accurately collecting and processing urine specimens, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the collection area, and adhering to privacy and safety protocols.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Receive, organize, and maintain supplies.
• Conduct timed observed specimen collection of urine.
• Maintain specimen collection log and follow HIPPA guidelines.
• Follow Universal Precautions and OSHA standards.
• Participate in training and validation.
• Maintain cleanliness of the collection area.
• Maintain professional boundaries with clients.
• Ensure a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
• Provide excellent customer care with a friendly attitude.
• Demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to business procedure guidelines.
• Assist in training employees for new procedures or changes.

Position Requirements: 

• Current CNA certification in the state where employed, must be active on Nurse Aide I registry 
• Two forms of identification (Driver's License and Social Security card)
• FULLY VACCINATED COVID CARD **REQUIRED** 
• Most recent Negative PPD (within last 12 months) OR Chest X-ray (within last 5 years)
• At least 6 months of previous nurse aide (CNA) experience 
• Specimen Collector experience PREFERRED
• Clean criminal background and ability to pass a drug screening
• Reliable transportation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Salary Range: $18.00/hour

Schedule/ Shifts: 7:30a-4:30p, Mon-Thu
