FN America offers a full-time, paid summer internship program to students that will provide interns with a practical real-world, career-related experience within a professional setting. Our program offers an opportunity for students to apply the knowledge and theories learned in the classroom to the world of work. Our goal is to ensure that interns have a productive and positive learning experience.

As an IT Intern, you will:

• Assist the IT Service Desk with providing incident resolution and responding to service requests reported through the IT Service Desk within a prescribed SLA. 
• Support Tier 1 and 2 service calls with all business applications such as but not limited to ERP, PLM, QMS and SharePoint systems. 
• Provide assistance with configuring, initial setup and troubleshooting of personal devices (mobile phones, printers and laptops). 
• troubleshoot the network and infrastructure.
• Acquire problem-solving skills through real-world scenarios. 
• Adapt to new technologies and tools while learning to quickly grasp new concepts and apply them in a practical setting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common technical issues faced by end-users along with gaining proficiency in using help desk software and ticketing systems. 
• Develop an understanding of basic cybersecurity practices and the importance of maintaining a secure IT environment. 
• Identify areas for personal and professional growth within the IT service desk role.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft applications
• Ability to effectively communicate and influence various levels of the organization.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).

Preferred Degree Program: Computer Science or related

Internship Program Dates: May 13-August 2, 2024 (12 weeks)

Eligibility

The intern must:

• Be a full-time enrolled student, in good standing with an accredited educational institution.
• Be an undergraduate (rising Junior or senior) or graduate student.
• Have a 2.8 GPA or higher with no academic or corrective action on record.

Working Conditions

Typical office environment with some travel between buildings and to other locations required. May be exposed to loud noises, toxic chemicals, and dangerous machinery when on the plant floor.
