UAS Operator (RPIC) - Drone Pilot
Flying Lion is currently looking to add qualified sUAS Pilots to the team supporting local Police Departments’ Drone as First Responder (DFR) Programs. This unique program makes the community safer by dramatically reducing on-scene time, de-escalating situations, and protecting citizens and officers through improved situational awareness through the use of sUAS/Drones.
As a DFR Remote Pilot in Command (RPIC) you would be responsible for supporting quick call response times and flight safety standards through consistent equipment readiness and maintenance, flight management, and clear communication with the dispatch operator.
Since 2018 DFR Programs have been the most innovative drone integration system in the world and have responded to over 40,000 calls for service. The position allows you to grow your experience and flight time as the RPIC logs all flight hours, including Beyond Visual Line Of Sight (BVLOS) flights.
Flying Lion is looking to hire sUAS Pilots with the right attitude, attention to detail, and a passion for using UAS technology for Public Safety. Good judgement, the ability to work independently, and a grasp of safe UA operating procedures are key to success. We will train for the skills necessary to support our customers’ diverse missions.
